ARM AND DISARM CODES
User 1 is the master code of the system. It can also be used as the normal Arm /Disarm code for the Alarm Owner
User 2, User 3, User 4, etc codes can be assigned by User 1, if necessary, for other individuals that are given permission to Arm/Disarm the alarm system. The default code for User 1 is 1-2-3-4.
When programming the keypad the user code is always entered as 2 digits. Therefore a "0" is entered prior to a single digit user code. Example: Enter 0, 1 for user 1 or enter 0, 5 for user 5, etc. User 12 would be entered as 1, 2.
It is important to change the default master code of 1-2-3-4 to something else after the system is installed.
There are a maximun of 40 user codes that can be assigned, 00 thru 39. Therefore a different code could be assigned to every member of the household or to individual or groups of employees. You could also simply use the master code for yourself (User 1) and assign only one other code (User 2) for everyone else.
Entering a new user code is a two step process. 1. Entering the new code or changing an old code. 2. Assigning the authority level of the code. The two authority levels that are used the most frequenty for the master code and additional users are (4) Master arm/disarm (Can program other codes) and (5) Arm/disarm.
Typically the master code assigned to User 1 is the only code that has the authority level (4) Master arm/disarm (Can program other codes). All other codes would be assigned the authority level (5) arm/disarm .
